The Vandermarliere family has been a respected name in the tobacco industry for almost a century. The company was founded in 1926 in an attic in Belgium. Today’s interview is with Frederik (Fred) Vandermarliere, who is the 3rd generation of his family to take over the business.
Fred took the company to a higher level by introducing the Oliva family into their company. Today, you can’t walk into a cigar shop without finding Cortès short filler cigars or long fillers from Oliva or NUB.
