The Oliva Serie V Melanio is a highly decorated brand and the Figurado was named Cigar of the Year in 2014.
However, despite all the praise and commercial success of the Serie V and Serie V Melanio, Oliva wasn’t done with the brand. They took it into darker territory with the Melanio Maduro, which is covered in a leaf of Mexican San Andrés tobacco.
The Oliva Serie V Melanio Maduro Torpedo was released in 2013 and has impressed cigar aficionados ever since. Each puff is filled with sweet wood, sea salt, and dried fruit, while the tapered head of the Torpedo seems to concentrate the smoke, adding another dimension of flavor. Cigar Aficionado awards Oliva Serie V Melanio Torpedo with a 95 rating!
