Cuba Aliados was one of the hottest brands during the cigar boom of the ’90s. Oliva Cigar Co. purchased the trademark in 2021. A year later, Oliva announced it had created two new Cuba Aliados cigar lines: one rolled in Honduras, the other in the Dominican Republic. The Original Blend, rolled in Honduras, earned a spot in Cigar Aficionado’s Cigar of the Week showcase with its ReGordo size, a 6-by-60 grande that scored 90 points.
